Marco Rodriguez, MD
|
Dr. Marco Rodriguez always knew he would someday call the Carolinas home. Some of his fondest memories are of childhood trips to visit family here. Now he’s living the dream, bringing his wealth of experience (and his fiancée’s 4 lb. Pomeranian) to Spartanburg. He’s a graduate of Ohio’s Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (one of the largest biomedical research institutions in the nation) and he’s trained at both the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at LSU’s Health Sciences Center and the prestigious Texas Back Institute (the foremost authority on artificial disc replacement). As the newest member of the OSS team, Dr. Rodriguez is introducing Spartanburg to techniques that are revolutionizing orthopedic spine surgery. While past procedures relied on disc-fusion to relieve pain through patient immobilization, Dr. Rodriguez specializes in minimally invasive options that preserve motion, and accelerate recovery. That’s a welcome addition to Spartanburg and a great reason to welcome Dr. Rodriguez to OSS.
Dr. Rodriguez specializes in orthopedic spinal surgery, including new motion-sparing devices and minimally invasive procedures.
